Dear Member,
It is with great honour to take over the role of President of the Insurance Institute of Chelmsford and South Essex from the previous president Matthew Waters for the forthcoming year 2011/12. I would like to express my thanks to Matthew and all of the Council members for their continuing support to the Institute.
We are the sixth largest institute with 2,800 members and continue to grow year on year. If you are interested in getting involved in the Institute then contact me directly and come and see what we do. It is great socially and you will meet new friends/business contacts.
Education is always a key part of the Institute and as many of you are members purely to undertake your exams I would also highlight there are other benefits and social activities that you should also take advantage of. As an institute we provide training days and seminars but if you feel that there are other areas you want a course or seminar for, please call us and we will be happy to discuss your requirements.
We are always keen to hear our members’ feedback and are here to assist you with every aspect of your local requirements as members.
The Institute continues to support the excellent work of The Insurance Charities. This is an organisation that assists people who have worked in the insurance industry but have fallen on difficult times. It gives vital financial and practical support to past and present employees of the insurance industry, and their dependent relatives, who are suffering. We as an institute do support this excellent charity as it supports only those working in the industry - people like you and me. You will see at some of our events that we promote this charity, please continue to support us in raising funds for this worthy cause. You never quite know if one day it will be you.
