BII Diversity and Inclusion Survey: How are we performing and where do we want to be?

The special focus of our 2017 conference will be diversity and inclusion. There is a clear correlation between proactive diversity management and business performance. Diversity and inclusion matters to our employees, customers, suppliers, investors and our regulators. Compelling research* has shown that teams with just one member whose diversity reflects their customer base are 158% more likely to meet that customer’s needs.

We are working with specialist consultancy EW Group to prepare a session which will bring you up to speed with latest research, thinking and good practice in diversity and inclusion. We’ll be analysing the benefits of diversity and inclusion to your business and providing you with a series of practical actions which you can implement straight away.

To inform the content of this session we are asking delegates to complete our Diversity and Inclusion survey. Our findings from the survey will be presented at the conference and provide a snapshot of how we are currently performing. It will also become the launchpad from which can create our vision for a diverse and inclusive insurance industry in Birmingham and the West Midlands.

Please complete this survey by 30.06.17.

All responses will be unattributed and confidential.

The conference will provide six hours of CPD sessions made up of technical and soft skills training with valuable presentations from speakers at the CII, ABI, Axa, UBS, JLT, Miton Group and others. We will have two streams of technical sessions in the morning one aimed at those with an interest in General Insurance and the other aimed at Investments and Pensions professionals.
