Insurance Charities Awareness Week

Monday, 19 June 2017 – Friday, 23 June 2017
9:00 am – 5:00 pm (UK time)

As many of you are aware the Insurance Charities is the charity for the UK and Irish insurance industry, providing support for current and former insurance employees and their dependants since 1902. Last year they gave over £1.2 million of help to insurance people in need. Each year Birmingham Insurance Institute like to do our bit to help raise awareness and funds for this great course. Last year we ran a bake sale which many of you were kind enough to participate in. This year, rather than ask you to do something specific, we would like to leave it to your discretion to decide how you would like your office to offer support. You could run another bake sale, or keep it simple with a dress down day or fancy dress day, or you could hold a raffle or competition, or maybe something completely different. Whatever you decide we will be happy to support you by providing leaflets to distribute. We would love to see pictures of your event too so please send any in and we will publish them.

If you are able to take part then please email Helena Payne at hpayne@loricainsurance.com to pledge your support. We look forward to hearing how everyone will be taking part, the most adventurous ideas the better.

The Insurance Charities can supply a complimentary display box containing chocolates, mobile phone/tablet stands and flyers that turn into a bookmark and a business card. The aim of the boxes is for staff to help themselves to the items and learn more about who they are and how they support people from the industry in need.

To request a box sent an email to marketing@theinsurancecharities.org.uk
