Speaker biography:

Peter started his career in Financial Services in 1997. He joined Jobson James Financial Services in August 2007, which became part of the Charles Stanley Group plc in May 2011.Peter acheived Chartered Financial Planner status in 2014 and hopes in the near future to become a Fellow of the Personal Financial Society.

This talk on Defined Benefit Pension Transfers will cover the following:

• The current economic environment and its impact on pension planning
• Pensions Access & Freedoms and how these may affect your retirement planning
• What is a Cash Equivalent Transfer Value, and how is it calculated?
• What is the Pension Protection Fund, and how does it affect your benefits?
• Is a defined Benefit transfer potentially relevant to you and what are the main factors to consider

Time: 12.30pm Buffet lunch; 1pm Lecture; 2pm Finish

Lectures are provided free of charge to CII/PFS members.
