Lunchtime Lecture: The Future of Insurance Report

Wednesday, 16 May 2018
12:30 pm – 2:00 pm (UK time)
    • Jeremy Irving, Partner, Insurance Division, DWF LLP
    • Derek Adamson, Partner, Head of Occupational Health and Casualty, DWF LLP

Overview:

The UK insurance market has spoken: it is confident and well-placed to thrive amid the global tide of technological and economic disruption. But another UK insurance market has also spoken: this one has severe doubts about its efficiency, its diversity, and its cultural and technological fitness to face the future.

The BII is delighted to invite DWF to speak to our members about the launch of their future of insurance report, which brings together the results of their survey of insurance executives. Join us as we look into what the market is focusing on right now and scan the horizon to see what the market expects to be its focus in 5 years' time.

Their survey allows insight into how insurance market participants envisage the evolution of their marketplace, revealing strongly held and clearly articulated views, but also apparently irreconcilable differences and surprising inconsistencies with widely reported trends.

Learning objectives:

  • Introduce the intention of the report.
  • Detail the result of the report.
  • Detail what the insurance market it focusing on right now.
  • Confirm what the market expects its focus to be in five years time.
