Lunchtime Lecture: Banter or Bullying in the Workplace

Overview:

Everyone has banter in the workplace, however, do you know when to draw the line?

Just because your colleague doesn’t say anything, doesn’t mean they may not be offended, or even other colleagues within the workplace.

If the banter involves a protected characteristic from the Equality Act 2010 do you know you can be taken to an Employment Tribunal.

Learning objectives: By attending this event you will have an understanding of

  • The different types of banter.
  • why people have banter.
  • what can happen when the banter goes too far.
