Leigh College Careers Fair

Myself and Ian German attended Leigh College’s careers fair on Tuesday 29^th January 2019.

There were a number of organisations who were in attendance; such as, the NHS, the Army, Bolton University, Bents Garden Centre, MMU etc.

The event itself was more tailored to student’s completing vocational courses; how much benefit it was, we aren’t sure? That said, it felt good and positive to be representing the Chartered Insurance Institute; giving us, as council members, an opportunity to share our personal experience for awareness.

The day itself was organised very well and the buffet food was on point!!

Ian German did a fantastic job at promoting the ‘Discover Risk’ game; so much so, that both Leigh and Wigan Colleges have invited us to attend and deliver the game out to their students throughout their Careers Week in March 2019.

Who said insurance wasn’t fun?!
