Our Speaker - Peter Hancock

Neither a celebrity nor a sportsman, Peter is nonetheless a highly accomplished raconteur and wit, with experience in entertaining audiences large and small from a wide variety of industries.

He is in his 17th year as chief executive of Pride of Britain Hotels - a consortium of 50 independent luxury hotels in the UK. He is also a regular columnist for Caterer & Hotelkeeper and Hotel Ownermagazines, a professional after-dinner speaker, a clumsy helmsman and a weak golfer.

In the past he has been a guidebook publisher, a hotel general manager and a waiter. His one appearance on prime-time TV involved gulping down large quantities of food and wine aboard the Orient Express on "Celebrity Masterchef".
