Following the success of last year's heavily over subscribed sessions, the Insurance Institute of Bristol are delighted to announce the return of a workshop on the secrets of successful public speaking.
Are you nervous about standing up and speaking in public? You are not alone. For many of us, public speaking can become a major obstacle in our career development. We are never taught how to combat nerves, express ourselves clearly, or simply overcome the fear of speaking in front of a group of people. Therefore, the IIB is running a half-day workshop to help members who wish to develop their skills in a friendly, informal environment.
This workshop will help you gain the skills and confidence you need to speak in front of an audience. The session will be run by Kate Davison, Past President of the IIB and a seasoned public speaker. Kate will share her tips for success and the secrets of how to appear calm, even if you are feeling nervous.
The session will be limited to just twelve delegates, so members are advised to book their places as soon as possible.
The small size of the group will ensure that participants have a chance to share their personal concerns or issues, practise with like-minded people, and receive the guidance that will help them become effective and confident public speakers.
To book your place, please email ellie.rowland-callanan@cii.co.uk, stating your name and CII pin number.
