IIC&G EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES 2020 - IMPORTANT UPDATES

It is clearly the right thing to do and the health and wellbeing of everyone should be the key priority in this time.

We do appreciate however the input and support we have had from everyone planning these events particularly the dinner. We will get these on again!

So specifically…

ANNUAL DINNER 24th APRIL. This event is postponed. Please accept our sincere apologies.

After a lot of rearranging we have moved the dinner to Friday 9th October 2020 and we would be delighted if you and your company and guests are still able to attend. In the event of any desired cancellations, no one will be out of pocket.

Unfortunately Jamie MacDonald is unavailable to join us on the new date as he will be in Australia but has already given us a commitment for a future dinner. We are currently identifying a new speaker option for October. All other bookings and entertainment remain the same and this promises to be a memorable event.

Please direct any questions/feedback to nhunt@ArmourRisk.com

A Q&A will also follow. We will aim to speak to as many sponsorship partners and table holders in the coming days and weeks as we can. Thankyou very much for your understanding.

AGM 30th APRIL…..We are seeking to hold this via conference call or similar digital means and more information will follow on this

APRIL WRITTEN EXAMS ….The Chartered Insurance Institute is postponing April written examination sittings that were due to take place on 20, 21 and 22 April these will be postponed until October, with the exception of RO6 (Financial planning practice) and AF7 (Pension transfers) which they are planning to hold in July.

Central CII will be confirming these changes with each candidate in due course.

At the current time, in line with government guidance, multiple choice question online examinations will go ahead at the pre-booked centres as there are less than 25 candidates at each sitting.

The CII will continue to monitor and review the situation with these sittings, in line with government guidance.

The LM1 revision session planned for 30th March is postponed. We are aiming for a new date potentially via online learning.

CPD EVENTS…Our next planned gathering is 21st July. We are seeking out though alternative methods of learning via webinars. The first of these is scheduled for Wednesday 25th March and is about ‘Best practice on managing teams remotely’. We have had nearly 100 people sign up. Thankyou very much for this commitment. One based around BI/Coronavirus cover is also being explored. Any CPD questions/feedback to tim.chandler@ageas.co.uk
