Annual Insurance Dinner

On behalf of the President of the Insurance Institute of Cheltenham and Gloucester, Nicola Hunt, we are delighted to announce that our 2018 dinner will take place on Friday 13^th April. We have exciting entertainment planned.

Please join us in welcoming our CII Vice President as a top table guest, David Williams FCII. David has over 30 years’ experience in General Insurance, roles including Chief Commercial Underwriter at one of AXA’s largest branches, Reinsurance Manager, Casualty Insurance Manager, before moving to claims in 2003. David has also appeared on BBC Breakfast TV, Sky, Channel 4 and BBC News, as well as Radio 4’s ‘Today’ Programme, being interviewed on topics varying from Compensation Culture to Business Crime.

Guest Speaker - Perry McCarthy (AKA the original Stig)

This year the after-dinner guest speaker will be Perry McCarthy, Perry is a former F1 driver and the original ‘Stig’ from Top Gear. Perry was one of Britain’s top racing drivers and is now part of motor racing folklore.

Throughout his entire motor racing career, Perry was renowned not just for his speed and determination, but for his sense of humour and sideways look at life. His quick wit and ability to deride himself, and others, has entertained spectators, race guests and even rival teams and drivers, in pit lanes, paddocks and bars across the world.

The Band - Tommy and the Fuse

Playing us out until 1am! Tommy and the Fuse is a very popular, Gloucestershire-based band comprising of a group of versatile musicians, each with a fantastic reputation in the live music circuit.

Supporting Sir Elton John and Lionel Richie at their Kingsholm concerts, their individual talents are ‘fused’ together with each member leading, depending on the style of each track. This gives the band a wide and varied repertoire through the decades to today’s contemporary hits.
