Workshop overview

Mental toughness is a practical and well evidenced concept which brings valuable insight into how people and organisational development. It’s about how effectively individuals deal with stress, pressure, opportunities and challenge. It describes the mindset that every person adopts in everything they do. Published research and case studies from around the world show that Mental Toughness is a major factor in:

Performance – explaining up to 25% of the variation in performance in individuals

Agility - Positive Behaviour – more engaged, more positive, more “can do”, dealing well with change

Wellbeing – more contentment, better stress management, less prone to bullying

Aspirations - more ambitious, prepared to manage more risk

Where most personality concepts address “how do I respond when things happen”, Mental Toughness describes why we respond the way we do. Mental Toughness can be measured by the Mental Toughness Questionnaire (MTQ).

The workshop will provide a unique opportunity to explore one of the most fundamental aspects of people development today. The offer provides delegates with Genuine Continuing Professional Development (CPD) – you will learn something new - and a thought-provoking and highly-interactive session covering the following:

The changes for professions in the 21st Century – dealing with a VUCA world
