Steve is the new institute President
Stephen Sawrey, a director of Irvine Commercial Insurance Brokers, is to take on the role of President of the Insurance Institute of Coventry for 2015/16.
Stephen has worked as an insurance broker in Coventry for over twenty-five years and this is his second stint in Coventry institute’s top job. When accepting the chain of office from outgoing President Beverley Hiley Steve said that he ‘wanted to encourage more members to play an active role in the institute especially the younger members who are its future life blood’.
Coventry Institute is affiliated to the Chartered Insurance Institute, the professional body for Insurance and Financial Services, and has some 600 members active in Coventry and the surrounding area. Steve thanked Beverley Hiley, the outgoing President, for leading Coventry institute over the past two years.
Kevin Morris, a director of Perry Appleton Group, a Rugby based broker, was elected Deputy President. The AGM was held on 30th April at Corrigans, 20 Queens Road, Coventry CV1 3EG
