Business Interruption – Is the only way Essex?

Wednesday, 30 September 2015
12:30 pm – 2:00 pm (UK time)

The Professional Development Group of the IASG and in conjunction with Cunningham Lindsey would like to invite you to attend their next CPD event which will provide an overview of two recent legal cases in relation to Business Interruption claims.

Learning objectives:

By attending this event delegates will be able to identify:
- Details of recent high profile cases.
- Areas which have led to potential issues for Brokers.
- The judiciary’s view of trend in a Business interruption setting.

The presentation will be run by Bill McCrae who is an experienced and service oriented Chartered Loss Adjuster, with a background in Financial Claims. He has worked in claims for 30 years, having initially joined a UK composite Insurer in their Graduate Trainee Scheme.

Bill joined an International firm of Loss Adjusters in 1983 and, following qualification in 1990, has worked throughout the UK on major Property and Business Interruption losses. Locally in Scotland, he has expertise in the Scotch Whisky Industry, Salmon Farming, and Hydro/Wind Renewable Energy.

In addition to catastrophe response in the UK, Bill has extensive catastrophe experience in the Caribbean and US. He has Australian citizenship and has had two spells of work in Australia, one leading on large Business Interruption claims following the Longford natural gas explosion crisis in Victoria. His time in Australia also involved dealing with claims in SE Asia.

The seminar will be followed by tea, coffee and a sandwich lunch.
