Claim Repudiation and Broker Liability
The IASG Young Professionals Group hosted a seminar on Claim Repudiation and Broker Liability at Brodies LLP.
This session proved to be an interesting, informative and interactive event looking at a situation which was ultimately resolved in court and how this court action impacted on the Insured, the Insurer and the Broker. Audience participation was encouraged!
By attending this event delegates were be able to identify:
- The importance of claim notification periods
- A broker’s duty to assist their client in making claims
- The dangers of failing to read the policy’s terms.
It was an excellent opportunity to develop delegates knowledge and meet with the Young Professionals and Brodies employees who have helped organise the event.
