ABI update: 2018 – surely it can’t be worse than 2017

The Professional Development Group of the Insurance and Actuarial Society of Glasgow is happy to announce that their next CPD event will be an update on the work of the ABI delivered by Alastair Ross, Assistant Director, Head of Public Policy (Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland), ABI.

Learning objectives:

By attending this event delegates will be able to identify the key projects and the work undertaken by the ABI here in Scotland.

Alastair Ross is a member of the Public Affairs team responsible for the ABI’s engagement with the Scottish Parliament and the Scottish Government, the National Assembly for Wales and the Welsh Government, and the Northern Ireland Assembly and Northern Ireland Executive.

Alastair joined the ABI in March 2016 from Pinsent Masons LLP where he was Director of Public Policy for the law firm, advising clients on public affairs issues at Holyrood and Westminster.

Prior to that Alastair was a Government Relations Executive at HBOS plc, Associate Director of Media Relations at Bank of Scotland, and worked in PR and newspapers.
