The Insurance and Actuarial Society of Glasgow is happy to announce that their next event will focus on Covid 19 and its impact on claims.

Learning objectives:
This webinar will provide an overview of the following:
• Brief recap on BI cover and the absence of a ‘standard BI wording’
• Covid triggered claims
- Initial response of Insurers and the UK government
- Regulator test case framework, and the approach taken to provide clarity
- Court hearing July 2020
- Subsequent judgement September 2020
- Current appeals process and potential timescale
• Pre existing claims impacted by Covid

The webinar will be delivered by Damian Glynn, BA (Hons) FCA FCILA FUEDI ELAE FIFAA, Director, Head of Financial Risks, Sedgwick International UK.

Damian is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Loss Adjuster, a published author on BI topics and regularly give talks in on the subject. He is Chair of the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjuster’s BI group for over 10 years and a court expert both as a Chartered Loss Adjuster and a Chartered Accountant.
