Disaster Recovery – Past disasters and what we can learn for Future Disasters

We are delighted to welcome as our lunch-time speaker for June, Group Head of Risk for the First Central Group in Guernsey.

Daniel has over 30 years' experience in Innovation, Internal Audit & Risk Management, Information Systems Audit, Information Technology, Consulting in E&E, Corporate Governance and XBRL. Daniel has worked in North America, New Zealand and the UK and has undertaken assignments in Australia, Malaysia, Thailand, UAE and France, and has been an FCA Approved Person.

Daniel's talk will cover:

  • Disaster Recovery – Past disasters and what we can learn for Future Disasters

Daniel will be using a few actual situations as examples and will talk about some coming events that we know will happen, just not when or where.

The talk will take place at Moore's Hotel Wednesday 10 June 2015 at 12.30pm, (£10 for members of the Insurance Institute of Guernsey and £12 for non-members, including lunch) Do remember that the attendance fee is payable whether lunch is taken or not. Please feel free to encourage non-member colleagues to attend should this be an area of interest but, please note, members of the Insurance Institute of Guernsey will receive priority in the event of capacity being reached.

Attendance will provide 30 minutes of Structured CPD under the Chartered Insurance Institute's CPD scheme. Please book your place now, and in any event before 5pm Friday 5 June, by emailing Cilla Thompson cilla.thompson@cglloyds.co.uk . In booking your place(s) please provide your name, company, confirm if you are a member of the IIG or not, and advise should you require a vegetarian meal. Please note that vegetarian meals need to be pre ordered. Should you cancel attendance after 5 June the attendance fee remains payable. If you cannot stay for lunch, it would be appreciated if you can advise us when reserving your place at the lecture.
