First impressions coming into Guernsey Finance & Guernsey Finance's plans for 2015

We are delighted to welcome as our lunch-time speaker for February, Dominic Wheatley. Dominic is the new Chief Executive of Guernsey Finance, the promotional agency for Guernsey's finance industry.

His role includes business development and the promotion of Guernsey's finance industry in the Island's target markets including Europe, the US and the emerging markets, technical research to support promotional activities and liaison with industry associations and government.

Previously Chief Marketing Officer of the Willis Global Captive Practice and Managing Director of its Guernsey business, Dominic has over 25 years of finance experience in London and, for the past 19 years in Guernsey.

Dominic is a member of the Institute of Directors and serves as a non-executive director on a number of local boards. He is a fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute and holds an M.B.A from Warwick University.

Dominic's talk will cover:

  • First impressions coming into Guernsey Finance
  • Guernsey Finance's plans for 2015

Though the talk does not have a specific learning objective, it will be of great interest to all insurance and PFS members.

The talk will take place at Moore's Hotel Wednesday 11 February 2015 at 12.30pm, (£10 for members of the Insurance Institute of Guernsey and £12 for non-members, including lunch) Do remember that the attendance fee is payable whether lunch is taken or not. Please feel free to encourage non-member colleagues to attend should this be an area of interest but, please note, members of the Insurance Institute of Guernsey will receive priority in the event of capacity being reached.

Attendance will provide 30 minutes of Structured CPD under the Chartered Insurance Institute's CPD scheme.
