Insurance Development Day - Wednesday 20 June 2018

Les Cotils
Wednesday, 20 June 2018

We are delighted to open registrations to attend the Insurance Institute of Guernsey's annual Insurance Development Day taking place at Les Cotils on Wednesday 20th June 2018.

All of you will be aware of Continuing Professional Development Requirements that demand a minimum of 21 hours of Structured CPD plus a minimum of 14 hours unstructured CPD during each year. Failure to maintain these levels of CPD places at risk your qualifications and professional standing.

The Insurance Institute of Guernsey has achieved accreditation whereby our seminars and insurance focussed activities are immediately recognisable by the CII as CPD events (as evidence by future branding). Our Insurance Development Day will provide attendees at least Five hours of structured CPD.

The programme seeks to deliver a range of subjects all of direct relevance to practitioners in our industry with sessions including:- The evolution of Kidnap & Ransom insurance - a look at risk transfer and crisis response, Claims handling without the stress, Personal accountability for those working in a regulated environment, Asbestos its hazards and effects, Personal Wellbeing “The Power of positive thinking”. Full details of the programme can be found here.

There will be a small networking opportunity after the event over a glass of wine or a beer.

The Insurance Institute of Guernsey is in the fortunate position of being able to subsidise this event heavily (entirely within our remit from the CII). This year’s fees are at the same level as last year:

Full Day including refreshments and lunch CII/PFS members £35 / non-members £45

Morning including refreshments (no lunch) CII/PFS members £20 / non-members £25

Afternoon including refreshments (no lunch) CII/PFS members £20 / non-members £25

Registration is open now and the registration form is available using this link

Closing date for registrations Friday the 15th June

We are confident that the Insurance Development Day will provide a valuable contribution to achieving and maintaining CPD requirements and we hope that you and your employers will be able to deliver full support to this initiative.

Best wishes,

Lex
