Advanced Diploma Assignment Techiniques

At the CII Advanced Diploma qualification level (ACII), students are required to complete three assignments per subject. The expectations of the examiners are high and a clear strategy for addressing the assignments helps to ensure success.

This workshop guides delegates on how to research the assignment content, structure their work, ensure they are clearly answering the question and building a comprehensive paper that addresses all features of the marking matrix the examiners will use.

The event is relevant to students taking their CII studies through to the Advanced Diploma.

Mark has specialised in Risk Management and Corporate Governance for over 25 years. His career has included 16 years at Prudential PLC and Board-level roles in the Lloyd’s market. Mark became an insurance and risk management consultant, trainer and mentor in 2011.

Mark is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute, a Fellow of the Institute of Risk Management and has an MBA in Management from City University. A visiting lecturer in Corporate Governance and Operational Risk at Cass Business School for 14 years, he is also a past Chairman of the Institute of Risk Management.

Currently a member of the CII Professional Standards Committee; Mark is author of the CII Advanced Diploma textbooks for Risk Management in Insurance and Insurance Corporate Management, as well as the joint author of Insurance Business and Finance. He has also developed various CII short training courses and is a CII dissertation guide.
