Directors' and Officers'/Charity Trustees' liability insurance covers the cost of compensation made against an organisations directors/officers/trustees aand their managers for any actual or alleged worngful acts. As a D&O/CTI underwritng consultant, Phil will provide an overview of the product, its place in the insurance market and discuss where claims may arise from as an introduction to this topical subject.

At the end of the lecture, delegates will be able to identify:
- why D&O/CTI insurance is required
- what is covered under a D&O/CTI policy
- what organisations have D&O's and Charity Trustees
- structure of D&O/CTI policies and where they may differ
- duties and responsibilities of D&O/Charity Trustees
- where claims may arise

Speakers biography
Phil Duffy first joined the insurance industry in 1984 and has held a number of specialist commercial, charity and care underwriting roles with Sun Alliance, AIG (UK) Ltd and Markel before joining Ecclesiastical in Sept 2011. Throughout his career Phil has gained valuable insight into the charity and care sectors and their insurance needs. He is now responsible for the Financial Lines products for Ecclesiastical UK & Ireland which include Professional Indemnity; Directors & Officers'/Charity Trustee Liability, Medical & Treatment Malpractice, Legal Expenses and Cyber Insurance.
