Institute Supports National Random Acts of Kindness Day

As the name suggests, this day encourages people to do a kind thing for someone else. These acts can be for someone close to you, someone you barely know, or a total stranger! Taking part in RAOK not only spreads joy to any receivers, but also has positive effects on the giver too - doing something nice for others is very uplifting.

To get involved, our MIIndful Well-being Supporters did various acts for other people, including (but not limited to) making and delivering handmade gifts to friends and colleagues, sending Thunderball tickets to neighbours, delivering flowers, sending fruit and veg boxes to local soup kitchens and donating to local food banks – to name a few! The feedback that was received from both givers and receivers was priceless!

Random Acts of Kindness Day is a great excuse to do something nice for one another, but why stop there – continue to spread joy throughout the year and do something kind today! It doesn’t have to cost a lot or take a lot of time to brighten up someone’s day.
