Jubilee Prize Awards

We are delighted to announce that our city is home to some of the brightest talents in the world of insurance. The Jubilee Prize Awards were held on Friday lunchtime at The Midland hotel, fittingly in a room steeped with history and tradition just like the institute. The awards acknowledged outstanding performances in the 2014 CII professional examinations.

The Lord Mayor, Councillor Paul Murphy OBE addressed attendees, commenting on the importance of study, before awarding the certificates and prizes to the winners in the various fields across the insurance sector, including broking, claims and underwriting.

The most prestigious award, Best ACII (Associate level qualification) went to Miss Kate Gregory ACII of Allianz and was sponsored by Cheshire Datasystems Ltd.

The annual ceremony this year had more awards than ever before, in order to reflect the achievements by the IIM members and their hard work in exam study. The prize winners and their guests enjoyed a buffet and drinks reception after the prizegiving, with the opportunity to speak to the sponsors who had kindly supplied the prizes.

Fintan Griffin ACII Chartered Insurer, President of the Insurance Institute of Manchester, commented "These awards are important to showcase the talent in our industry and how dedicated they are to learning as much as possible, in order to provide the customer with the best service."
