Style in the City - fashion never dies

This year's annual charity fashion show, Style in the City, takes place on Friday 3th July at The Midland Hotel, thanks to the principal sponsor, Allianz. This year's event will once again be a key networking opportunity for ladies in the insurance, financial services and supporting industries.

The event has had a complete revamp, with a vintage 1950s theme of 'fashion never dies' led by the guest host and singer Kiki Deville, who you may recognise from WillIam's team on The Voice UK. 350 Guests will be treated to a sumptuous 3 course lunch before the professional models take to the catwalk for the main show. The clothing has kindly been provided by Sunday Best, women's designer fashion from around the world, and Slaters Menswear, a leading name in menswear and formal hire. A selection of brave insurance industry models will also walk the catwalk representing Allianz, Aviva, HSB Engineering Insurance, LV=, Travelers, Zurich and The Chartered Insurance Institute.

The guest sponsors Covea Insurance, QBE and Weightmans have generously donated raffle prizes and the IIM invite guests to make donations to support Jumpspace and Leisure for Autism, both local charities performing vital work to support local families. There are a few surprises in store throughout the afternoon and the grand finale will be the internationally renowned Bluejays band performing roll'n'roll hits.

The event was held in aid of two local charities - Jump Space and Leisure for Autism, and we are delighted to confirm that a grand total of over £3300 was raised for these charities.
