AGM plus CPD Lecture

The 140th Annual General Meeting will be held at the Radisson Blu Edwardian on Thursday 28th April 2016 at 12:00 noon; we propose a brief AGM which will be held prior to the CPD Meeting at 12:30pm on Making a Positive Contribution by Paul Hannam.

All Council nominations are listed below and will be approved at the AGM. Please contact the office 14 days prior to the AGM if you would like to make an objection(s) to any of the points or to request a copy of the 2015/2016 Annual Report or 2015 minutes. The existing Council recommends that members vote in favour of all the resolutions being proposed at the AGM, which they consider to be in the best interests of the institute as a whole. NOTICE is hereby given that the AGM of the Insurance Institute of Manchester will be held for the following purposes:

1. The proposed President of the Institute for 2016/2017 is Katie Jackson of Bollington Insurance Brokers
2. The proposed Deputy President of the Institute for 2016/2017 is Stephen Bridge of LV=
3. To receive and adopt the Treasurer’s Report and Accounts for 2015
4. To receive and adopt the Annual Report of Council for 2015/2016
5. To elect the following Vice-Presidents for the session 2016/2017

Lecture Speaker Biography
For over 25 years, Paul has presented on and trained a wide range of skills such as employee engagement, leadership, motivation, communication, change management, emotional intelligence, stress management. He has trained over 3,000 business owners, executives, managers and professionals both in the UK and USA. Paul has taught Organizational Behaviour, Environmental management and Entrepreneurship at Oxford University where he was an Associate Fellow for over 4 years and an Adjunct Fellow at Linacre College. He built his own training and recruitment business that he founded in 1989, to over £28 million annual sales. Paul is also an author, his fourth book, the Wisdom of Groundhog Day, is published in January 2016 and it provides a unique and inspiring blueprint for fully engaging with your work and your life based on the much loved comedy classic.
