Overview

Drawing on his experiences Mark’s talk will focus on the role and relevance of trade credit insurance within the commercial trade receivables, payables and finance markets today. Also, as a keen observer of market trends and technological developments impacting credit insurance, Mark will explore where the credit insurance market is headed and the opportunities and challenges this presents for credit insurers.

Learning objectives

The aims of this event are to

  • Provide an overview of the evolution of trade credit insurance and assess the current state of the marketl
  • Highlight and explain recent claims activity;
  • demonstrate how trade credit risk impacts traditional lines of insurance; and
  • provide practical advice for underwriters and brokers looking to tackle this area of risk.

Speaker Bio

Over the past 2 decades Mark has worked in various senior and management positions within the Trade Credit Insurance industry. His background was initially developed within economics and international banking, but for the past 17 years he has focused on underwriting roles within traditional and specialty Trade Credit Insurance. In 2012 he re-joined TCI market leader Euler Hermes (a subsidiary of Allianz) from AIG with the objective of creating an international underwriting presence within XoL (Excess of Loss) underwriting for Euler Hermes.
