Brian Ambrose OBE

Having been appointed Chief Executive of Belfast City Airport in 2004, Brian has overseen the growth of the airport, which now has an annual passenger throughput in excess of 2.5 million and a staff of over 1,600 people.

He has led the airport through several ‘big freezes', the ‘ash cloud' and the arrival and subsequent departure of a major low cost airline. Brian is Chairman of Tourism Ireland and Mencap Northern Ireland and in 2008/9 served as Chairman of CBI Northern Ireland.

He was awarded an OBE in the New Year's Honours in 2011. Reflecting on his experiences, Brian will share his thoughts on ‘Change and Crisis Management'.

Forensic Investigations
Danny Pointon

Danny is a Partner in Burgoynes, a company which has been involved in accident investigations for over 45 years.

A graduate of Cambridge University and now based in Glasgow, Danny has specialised in the investigation of engineering failures which has seen him travel the globe to investigate incidents on both land and sea.

He has lectured on fire investigation techniques to various Police Forces and Fire Brigades within the UK and further afield. His talk will provide an overview of the issues relating to forensic engineering, the methods utilised around claims and incident investigation, and how these feed into risk analysis.
