Good questioning techniques are a crucial skill applied throughout the insurance industry; from proposal forms through to claims investigation and settlement. Requirements in both the Insurance Act 2015 and Consumer Insurance (Disclosure and Representations) Act 2012 further underline the importance of robust and proactive information gathering as well as the need for clear and specific questions. Making a welcome return to Peterborough, Jeff Heasman will be back with us to talk on this subject. The hour long session will focus on:

  • Assessment and strategy.
  • Types of questions.
  • Methods of questioning.
  • Understanding questions.
  • Responding effectively.

Learning outcomes from the presentation are:

  • To raise awareness of the importance of questioning techniques in the insurance industry.
  • To understand the need to properly plan the questioning process and to have a strategy.
  • To be able to identify the different types of questions, methods that can be used and to be aware of their respective advantages and disadvantages.
  • To recognise the importance of understanding a question and responding effectively.

This event is free and open to all. A buffet lunch will be provided. Would you please help us to assess catering needs by booking, using the link at the bottom of this page.
