Devon v Cornwall LV= Cricket Cup

The Devon v Cornwall cricket match took place for the second year running.

In the settings of the beautiful Boconnoc Estate, the sun was shining and both teams were raring to go.

Devon won the toss and decided to bat first.

What a start made by Cornwall with a wicket being taken with the very first ball of the match. Things didn't improve for Devon as a quick succession of wickets tumbled with barely any runs on the board, however the batting side settled down and managed to reach a respectable 128 with all the wickets in the 19th over.

It was Cornwalls turn to bat and with a strong opening pair, a good start was expected. They didn't disappoint.

The event was a great success and enjoyed by all.

We also raised over £250 for our chosen charity Jeremiah's Journey so a massive thank you for everyone who took part - fielder, bowler, or just spectator.

We'll be looking forward to next year's match!
