The exposures clients face, a look at how cover has changed, and what the key things are to look for in a cyber policy.
Speaker : Stephen Ridley, Cyber & Data Lead Underwriter, Hiscox UK
Stephen has more than 9 years experience underwriting cyber & data risks. He is widely regarded as a thought-leader in the field, and sits on the Cyber Committee for the Association of British Insurers. He regularly speaks at industry events, and is frequently featured in both trade and national press. Outside of work, Stephen is a keen triathlete, and represented Great Britain at the European Championships in June 2017.

A review of cyber claims trends from 2018, together with a case study of a real hack
Speaker: James Webster, Head of Specialty Claims, Hiscox UK
James joined Hiscox in 2009 after working as a solicitor in private practice. He leads the Media, Cyber and Technology claims team, dealing with all of the domestic & international claims for Hiscox UK.

An overview and some case studies on how “big data” is helping Hiscox make better decisions
Speaker: Hannah Wilde, Senior Pricing Analyst, Hiscox UK
After graduating, Hannah worked in underwriting at Zurich Insurance, and subsequently in the Hiscox Maidenhead Commercial team. In 2017, she took a role in the Pricing team, combining her underwriting and analytical skills to support an initiative to write more business on a portfolio basis. In 2018 she was promoted to Senior Pricing Analyst.
12.05pm-12.45pm-: 'Three years of innovation – Successes, failures and disruptors'
What we have seen in the Insure Tech and wider retail markets with regard to innovation. Start-ups that have been successful, and those that did not live up to their hype. The Hiscox Futures view on ‘Disruption’. Some Hiscox successes and failures.
Speaker: Matthew Churchill, Head of Hiscox Futures, Hiscox UK
Futures is a team focussed on innovation in the insurance market, with a particular interest in digital innovation. Matthew joined Hiscox in 2011 as a project manager and after working for the UK, London Market and Special Risks business units, moved to his current role.
