RO1 Day 1 (Financial services, regulation and ethics) Pre Exam Training, Monday 13th July 2020 - online distance learning event

The total cost of both half days training will be £41 for PFS members and £51 for non-PFS members. Your attendance will be confirmed once you have booked online. There is a maximum of 12 attendees. If we are oversubscribed, you will be placed on a waiting list.

The day will commence at 0930 sharp and finish by 1230 with comfort breaks.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all face to face training organised by committee has been suspended until further notice by HM Government and the PFS and CII centrally.

The RO1 course is spread over two half days and aims to increase your chances of passing the exam.

The two half days courses will cover the following areas:

  • Main areas of financial advice

  • Relevant legal concepts

  • Regulation of financial services

  • FCA Handbook

  • Advice framework

  • Principles and Ethics

  • Exam technique

By the end of the course, delegates will have covered the key elements of the RO1 syllabus with the emphasis on the CII Learning Outcomes, will have been introduced to the exam format and adopting a suitable exam technique.

The course trainer is Giles Hewitt, a CII approved trainer, based in Cornwall who runs his own training consultancy, Hewitt Financial Training Ltd.
