Learning Outcomes

Understanding the need for business protection. The demographics of the market and the need for business protection products

Evaluate the risk areas that business protection products protect

Identify how to set up different types of business protection policies including tax implications and setting sums insured

Define the criteria for a relevant life plan and how these policies are structured in a tax efficient manner

Recognise the role of a businesses articles of association and shareholders or Partnership agreement when advising on insuring the shareholding in a business

6

Work through a set of business accounts to identify the protections needs and calculating cover for Key Person, Loan and Shareholder Protection.
