Overview

In April 2020 the Supreme Court delivered its judgment in Various Claimants v Morrisons Supermarkets.

The Supreme Court applied certain tests in that case which, when applied to the current hybrid work situation, higher use of social media by employees and increased operational risks around data protection, create a legal minefield.

This webinar will walk you through this potential legal minefield and provide risk management solutions to ensure employees and employers do not become the subject of vicarious liability claims.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this webinar, delegates will be able to:

  • identify key principles of vicarious liability as they apply to the hybrid workplace;
  • understand how liability may arise in light of changing working practices;
  • implement a strategy to mitigate the risks of vicarious liability arising.
