The Stratford Insurance Institute (SII) would like to invite you to the upcoming lecture, Making Yourself Memorable. The aim of the lecture is to highlight how our personal communication style can greatly affect how effective we are by covering seven principles.

The lunchtime lecture will be held in Alveston Suite in the Tiddington office. The lecture is free and non-members from across the Group are welcome.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this event, the delegate will be able to identify:

  • Use three techniques to ensure people want to hear what you have to say
  • Introduce themselves in a way that is meaningful and memorable so that they make a good first impression and are less likely to get glazed looks!
  • Apply the 7 principles of making yourself memorable to messages
  • Use powerful body language

Presenter: Melissa Kidd, Motem Ltd

Melissa Kidd has a wealth of experience in the financial services sector – built up largely through working with the Chartered Insurance Institute since 2012. As well as working with accountancy and pension firms, Melissa has spoken at a number of HSBC conferences on the subject of successful networking. Prior to specialising in the finance sector, she’s worked for large corporations such as Coca Cola and Royal Mail and institutions such as Bristol and Bath University – where she taught PhD students how to articulate the value of their complex research to the business community.
