12:00 pm – 1:30 pm (UK time)

The Insurance Institute of Aberdeen is happy to announce that we will be running an informative fire investigations CPD event on Thursday 26th March 2015.

By attending this event delegates will be able to identify:

1. The processes involved in fire investigation
2. Some of the simpler ideas around fire investigation
3. Best practice examples with regards to fire investigation
4. Case studies covering both smaller domestic and large industrial and commercial claims.

This presentation will be informative and educational for all broking, underwriting, surveying, claims and loss adjusting practitioners in both personal and commercial lines.

The talk will also be of interest to our members who have no direct professional interest in property insurance but who wish to gain insight into forensic investigation, have a general inquisitive interest in this fascinating subject area, or who are contemplating a second career in crime fiction.

The Insurance Institute of Aberdeen CPD events are CII accredited and this event qualifies for 1 hour structured learning for those involved in general insurance.

Danny Pointon an investigator with 25 years experience at Burgoynes, will present and there will be opportunities for Q&A, informal discussion, lunch and networking afterwards.

Burgoynes has been involved in fire investigation for over 45 years, and Jack Burgoyne, the founder of Burgoynes, was a pioneer in putting the science into fire investigation, using simple scientific ideas to resolve complex issues.
