Data privacy is a subject that is increasingly relevant to us all. With the pace of technological development showing no sign of slowing, and organisations able to do more and more with the data they hold, data protection is a fast moving area of law. This session is intended to keep you up to date with the latest developments, including the progress of the proposed new EU Data Protection Regulation, which promises to usher in a completely new data protection regime. We will discuss:

- ‘Big Data’ and the DPA;
- security breach trends – learning from the mistakes of others;
- codes of practice updates; and
- updates on the proposed new EU Data Protection Regulation.
