The presentation will include the following objectives:
Understand the background of GDPR, explaining it is EU law but will still apply despite Brexit.
Explain how the information commissioners office will have more powers and what these will be.
Explain what the impact is on customers and firms and the risks associated with GDPR.
Understand the legal basis for processing data.
Understand the potential impact on marketing activities.
Understand the difference between personal data and special categories of data.
Describe what firms should be doing in preparation for the changes.
