Time Management & Remote Teams - 29th October 2020
Virtual Training Overview
Managing time effectively is a challenge for most people under normal circumstances, as we cannot bank it or save it, just use it in the best way that we can. This is made even more challenging when we are working from home. Procrastination is a real thief of time. The danger is that if we are not careful, we don’t achieve what we should, with the implication being that we feel demotivated at the end of the day, or end up spending time catching up in the evening.
This 90-minute virtual workshop considers how we can get the best from our time through initially, effective personal prioritisation, followed by holding on to the planned time when demands are made of us by others. During the webinar you will have the opportunity to reflect and consider different tools and approaches, with the techniques to make them normal behaviours in these unusual times.
The style of the session will be informal, participative, and practical, focussing on the day to day challenges that you face. It will require you to undertake a small amount of pre-work as the focus will be on you and the specific issues/objectives that you may have.
The session will be run using Zoom and prior to the webinar you will receive an invite from Adrian Towell of Trafalgar the People Business who will be facilitating the session.
1. Prior to attending please complete the enclosed sheet ‘Setting Priorities/List of Tasks’ or have with you the tools that you currently use to manage time.
2. Also consider areas that waste, steal or interrupt your time.
By the end of the webinar you will be able to:
- Be more in control of you time
- State the principles of prioritising and planning time
- Manage interruptions (work/personal) more effectively
- Hold on to planned time
- Manage the potential conflict from saying no…..!
- Identify areas and actions for personal improvement
