Virtual Webinar: Managing Yourself & Others Through Change
Virtual Training Overview
Change brings both opportunities and challenges during which we all react in different ways. The first step is for us to buy in to the change and then, where we can, influence others to be positive and committed to the change agenda. Change can have a small or large impact. We are currently going through a specific and personal change event that has affected our whole way of working. For the future, one thing is for certain, change will be a key part of our working environment.
During the 90-minute virtual session you will have the opportunity to consider some of the key areas involved in change. The first part will consider the barriers to change, both physical and emotional. From there we will look at how we can manage change on a personal level. Here we will explore the stages of the change curve in order to understand the impact that change can have. We all experience the different stages and sometimes get stuck at different points. We will look at the different aspects and build in some coping strategies to help manage, and ultimately help us to move through to ‘Acceptance’. The final part will be to look at how we can influence and enable change, be it as a Manager or with our peers.
The style of the session will be informal, participative, and practical, focussing on the day-to-day challenges that you face. It will require you to undertake a small amount of reflection, to help you to get the most from the session.
The session will be run using Zoom and prior to the webinar you will receive an invite from Adrian Towell of Trafalgar the People Business who will be facilitating the session.
Prior to attending, please consider a recent situation where you were involved in personal change and the emotion(s) that you experienced.
By the end of the webinar, you will be able to:
- Explain the barriers to change
- Understand the stages of change that we go through
- Relate actions and coping strategies to the different stages
- influence and support others through change
