Lunchtime Lecture: Holiday Insurance Fraud & Travel update

This talk will cover the following:-

  • Examining the travel fraudulent epidemic
  •  The enablers driving the frauds
  •  What actions were taken to tackle the epidemic
  •  The impact
  •  Where are we now
  •  New and migrating fraud risks – where are they going next

Three years ago the travel and insurance industry experienced a new phenomenon – fraudulent travel claims. In this session BLM will examine how the epidemic arose, those that were fueling the claims, the steps taken to tackle the fraud at a macro and micro level. The session will conclude looking at where we are now and the new and migrating fraud risks.

Time: Registration & buffet lunch 12.30pm; Lecture 1pm; Finish 2pm
