Webinar: Does my BI policy cover Covid-19? EXTRA SESSION ADDED

Friday, 03 April 2020
4:15 pm – 5:15 pm (UK time)

The UK government said that by declaring Covid-19 a notifiable disease it would trigger Business interruption policies so that they will cover any losses - we will explore whether this statement is correct.

It is essential that brokers, underwriters and claims staff alike have a full understanding of what the correct commercial insurance position is on the virus that is disrupting all our lives. It is not just policyholders who are asking this question, we all know friends and family who run small businesses and they will be asking anyone who works in insurance what the position is and why. This presentation will give you the answers.

Alan will explore briefly the background of Business interruption cover in the UK and focus specifically on the BI extensions that may or may not cover Covid-19. It will be done in Alan's plain English style so that you can go away and feel confident in talking about how Bi cover responds to the biggest issue of the day.

The presentation will be in a webinar format where delegates will be able to type in their questions for Alan as they go. The actual presentation will last for no more than thirty minutes and for those that want to debate this issue in more depth there will be a further thirty minute Q&A.

Once registered you will be sent a link, click on this and at the allotted time Alan will start speaking and you will see his slides, you can type in questions you have after the presentation. You can view it from anywhere so it will not matter if you are working from home or office.
