Brief Overview:

This session will include detail on how the changes to CDM Regulations are affecting Health & Safety responsibilities, and information on the role of the Principal Designer.

Learning Objectives

  • Understand the role of “Principal Designer”

  • Recognise the changes in Construction site Health & Safety management

  • Be aware of the changes in the legislation

  • Knowledge of Litigation arising from the change in roles and responsibilities

Who should attend?

Anyone involved in the placing or underwriting of commercial business or in the handling or management of commercial insurance claims.

Speaker:

Andrew Marsh has extensive experience of dispute resolution for those engaged in the construction and engineering sector, including employers, general contractors, architects, engineers, quantity surveyors, project managers, design and build contractors and specialist sub-contractors.

Also, he regularly advises major insurance clients on CAR and liability claims arising on construction and engineering projects, both domestic and overseas.

He has a particular interest in alternative methods of dispute resolution, and is very experienced in the resolution of disputes by mediation, both domestic and overseas.
