Overview and Outlook for the UK Economy - An Off-the-Record Briefing Feb 2020

Dorset Chamber of Commerce and Industry is pleased to extend a warm welcome to members of the Chamber, the Chartered Insurance Institute and the Personal Finance Society as it invites them to attend a briefing from Bank of England Agent for Central Southern England Andrew Holder entitled 'Overview and Outlook for the UK economy'.
Andrew will discuss the current economic conditions, the Monetary Policy Committee’s expectations for the likely future path for GDP growth and CPI inflation and the Committee’s decisions for Bank Rate and the stock of purchased assets financed by quantitative easing.
Andrew has been Agent for Central Southern England since December 2015, having joined the Agency as Deputy Agent in August 2008. He joined the Bank in 2001, working in Head Office roles that included writing parts of the Bank's quarterly Inflation Report, working with Chris Allsopp on his review of statistics for economic policy making, and finally as Research Adviser to Andrew Sentance on the Monetary Policy Committee.
Following the presentation, Andrew will be delighted to take questions about the outlook for the UK economy and the Bank of England more widely.
