While for many it is the reward for years of hard work, for a significant proportion retirement is not the positive experience they expected. This workshop uses an evidenced based approach to explore the key challenges and adjustments required, and identifies what we need to do, beyond the financial planning, to ensure a fulfilling future.

This workshop aims to introduce you to the key elements that contribute to wellbeing in retirement so that you can start to put them into practice. By attending, you will:

  • Discover the key elements that contribute to wellbeing in retirement
  • Identify what a successful transition into retirement involves
  • Consider what your future lifestyle could include
  • Reflect on what retirement means for you
  • Generate ideas for action to make your transition to retirement successful

The presenters will be on hand afterwards for anyone wishing to ask further questions.

Anne has over 30 years’ experience in learning and HR, one-to-one coaching and leadership development. She ran her first retirement programmes back in the 1990s and has been working with Retirement Life Plan since 2016, developing and delivering the bespoke coaching and workshop events. In addition to a BA(Hons) in Business Studies, Anne is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Personnel and Development, and took her MSc in Organisational Behaviour with Birkbeck College London.

Nigel has over 20 years’ management and leadership experience in social housing following an early career working with young people and refugees in the third sector. His experience of running a customer facing department was invaluable in developing his understanding of the need to treat people as individuals, to listen to what they want and to help them find solutions that make sense to them. He began working with Retirement Life Plan in 2016.
