Presentation Overview:

With more and more organisations embarking on diversity & Inclusion programmes, it’s essential we understand what that truly means and the benefits that a diverse workforce can have on a company’s performance. In this interactive workshop, LV= General Insurance will give a perspective and introduction about what Diversity and Inclusion is , the business case for D&I and how you can bring this to life in your own organisations.

Speakers: Rodney Assock, Corporate Social Responsibility Director & Hannah Montagu-Clark, Diversity and Inclusion Lead

Rodney is the Culture and Corporate Social Responsibility Director at LV= General Insurance.

With over 30 years experience leading award winning operations functions, his focus and personal drive comes from creating environments where putting People and Customers at the heart of a collaborative business with authentic leadership generates organisational success and a thriving, inclusive and engaging culture.

He leads the CSR strategy at LV=, collaborating with functions across the business to drive the organisation’s social impact agenda forwards.

Hannah, has worked for LV= General Insurance for 5 years, starting off in the recruitment team and moving into her current role as D&I Lead in April 2019. Hannah alongside Rodney has been responsible for creating and rolling out the D&I strategy. Hannah plays an active role in the initiatives behind the Women in Finance and Race at Work Charter, awareness and education and policy and process changes relating to D&I. Hannah also supports the employee network groups to deliver on their plans and create a safe space for everyone at LV= GI.

The session is aimed at anyone who would like to learn about diversity and inclusion. The meeting is open to all CII/PFS members or guests.

Learning Objectives:

At the end of the session, attendees will:

  • Have a basic understanding on what diversity and inclusion is
  • The benefits and importance D&I plays in organisations
  • Some practical ideas of how you can bring this to life you in your own organisations.
