Course Overview

In these unprecedented times, and with young professionals embarking on their new careers. This talk provides an opportunity to focus on the journey to financial independence and to think about and discuss one of the difficult topics of everyday conversation – money. Designed to give food for thought and to highlight ways for young people to consider and step towards their own financial resilience.

  • To highlight ways to improve your financial resilience
  • To feel more comfortable talking about money

Attendance will be limited on the day to 25 on a first come, first serve basis.

Speaker Biography
Alison Cooper has extensive experience within the insurance industry in a career that has spanned over 30 years. During the last 20 years, Alison has run ACT One Training Services Ltd, a training consultancy.

Alison’s career started with Phoenix Assurance on the life side & then continued with Sun Alliance, when she headed a New Business team, with branch underwriting authority. Following achievement of her ACII, she joined MGM as an Inspector looking after a panel of brokers in the City of London.

Following redundancy, Alison changed career direction, by qualifying to teach & in 1998 established ACT One Training Services Ltd.

Alison achieved Fellowship (FCII) in 2009 and also has her Diploma in Financial Planning (Dip PFS).

Alison has always believed in the importance of Financial independence for both men & women. This belief is founded on the early examples set by her parents and the experience gained while giving financial advice.
