This session is designed for anyone who is involved with sharing their knowledge and expertise with others, in particular where you have:

By the end of the session delegates will be able to:

  • understand the skills of effective coaching and mentoring and also the potential barriers
  • learn how to carefully observe and assess the learner’s skills
  • provide effective feedback
  • know how to plan and deliver a short session
  • identify clear action points with the learner for the future

The session will be facilitated by Katharine Jones, who set up KJDevelopment in 2002. Katharine is a professionally qualified trainer and consultant with a global financial services background, working for one of the large brokers. She now works as a freelance consultant with broader experience in insurance and the public sector.

Katharine works with organisations to help them identify talent, develop staff, and manage learning. Her more recent project work has been delivering management coaching and workshops in the London market and local Chartered Insurance Institutes.

Katharine is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, the British Psychological Society as well as being a qualified teacher and assessor.
