Vulnerable customers - signposting to specialists
In this webinar, Johnny Timpson and Nicola Maguire highlight the regulatory and Government policy drivers that require us to act in the consumers best interest and consider signposting where appropriate. They also explore the BIBA Find Insurance Service and how to use it for client benefit. In addition, they discuss the new National Disability strategy.
The FCA final Vulnerable Customer Guidance together with IDD, Mifid2 and SMCR individually and collectively require insurance colleagues to act in their customers best interests with this requiring firms and colleagues to consider signposting to specialist advisers where required. This webinar touched on this and introduced colleagues to BIBA’s not for profit, Find Insurance Signposting Service.
By the end of this webinar members would have gained an insight into:
- The need to work in the client’s best interest
- The BIBA Find Insurance Service and how to access it for customer benefit, particularly when clients are vulnerable or potentially so
