Sponsored Walk Brecon Beacons Horseshoe Trail for the Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity 17 September 2022

This is your opportunity to embark on a fantastic adventure in the Brecon Beacons for a charitable cause. Join the Chartered Insurance Institute of Bristol on the Brecon Beacons Horseshoe trail, a challenging upland mountain walk in the heart of the Brecon Beacons, which includes Pen y Fan, the highest mountain in South Wales.

The walk will be in aid of the IIB president's charity, the Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity and will go towards funding one of their important projects such as:

- A menopause clinic for those who have experienced menopause early due to cancer.

- A transport incubator for babies receiving lifesaving critical care in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).

- A plasma jet machine which provides innovative treatment for women with cervical cancer.

The day will begin from the Neuadd Carpark which is roughly located at postcode CF48 2UT and we will meet at 9am on 17 September. You will need to have a reasonable level of fitness as the walk spans 10 miles, 4 summits and will take most of the day (returning to the carpark at roughly 3/4pm).

Each place on the walk requires a £35 sign-up fee and we also require you to have £100 minimum sponsorship by the day of the walk. If you click into our Just Giving link (located below) you will be able to add yourself to the team, where others can sponsor you.

The event is limited to 2 tickets per person, but if you have a larger group who want to attend together, please email CIIBristol@outlook.com and we can let you know if this is a possibility depending on current sign-ups.

If you don't have a mode of transport to take you to the event start, let us know and lifts can be arranged. The main pick-up/drop-off for lifts will be from central Bristol.
